Worklight’s multi-award winning show returns to FRINGE WORLD after a sold-out season in 2016. Joe Sellman-Leava charts his childhood in England in the 90s, examining curiosity, shifting political landscapes, and the global refugee crisis in a funny, moving and true story about mixed heritage.
Labels was inspired by a racism and equality workshop, led by Oscar-winning writer, actor and activist Emma Thompson. The rise of far-right parties both in Britain and across Europe compelled Joe to re-develop Labels for Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2015. It premiered in the wake of an ongoing humanitarian crisis in Europe, and fierce debates around migration and refugees. Since then, Labels has toured across four continents.
Returning after sold-out seasons at FRINGE WORLD 2016 and Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2016.
