Pakistani writer & comedian Sami Shah used to be a Muslim. Then he stopped.
Which in some parts of the world, is a pretty stupid thing to do. Fortunately for him, he isn't in those parts of the world anymore. Unfortunately for him, no one in this part of the world cares if you stopped being a Muslim, as long as you still have a Muslim name and face.
So what does an ex-Muslim with an understanding of the religion do to explain his point of view? Especially when everyone else keep screaming words like "Islamophobia" and "Islamofascist" every time he opens his mouth. And sometimes when he doesn't.
Well, if you're Sami, then you do a show about Islam and how people misunderstand it, both from inside and outside the religion.
Come along as Sami attempts to answer questions like: Are all Muslims terrorists? Is Islam a religion of peace? What does it mean to be a Muslim in Australia? What does it mean to be an Atheist in Pakistan? Why does Sami keep getting into trouble with Muslims and non-Muslims alike? And just how does all of this connect to Baywatch?
No one said it'd be easy.
