Good news - we can keep on Fringing!

The announcement that the WA State Government is postponing the Safe Transition Plan means that we can keep on Fringing til 13 February!

The controlled border will be in place for the entirety of FRINGE WORLD Festival 2022 and ARTRAGE CEO Sharon Burgess said that the government's approach was commended for putting the safety of our community first.

“ The 2022 program features 80% Western Australian artists and the border announcement ensures that our local performers will continue to get a chance to earn an income and entertain our community right through until the Festival ends on 13 February,” Ms Burgess said.

For the 42 interstate events that were planning on travelling to Perth for FRINGE WORLD after February 5, the border postponement is devastating news. These artists, like all around Australia and the world, are desperate for any chance to perform and the Festival feels their loss at not being able to come to Perth.

With Perth being such a safe place to be right now, there's no excuse why absolutely everyone shouldn't make the most of it and get out and enjoy live entertainment at FRINGE WORLD.

Despite there being some show cancellations, there's still more than 450 events in the Festival to choose from with shows happening every night

Fringe only comes round once a year, so don’t miss out and get out there to enjoy all that’s on offer!

Tickets to FRINGE WORLD Festival are available from fringeworld.com.au or from the FRINGE WORLD app. The Festival runs until Sunday 13 February.

FRINGE WORLD gratefully recognises the support of its partners including: Principal Supporter: Lotterywest; and Government Partners: the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries and the City of Perth.
