Let us help you find a show, find your venue and tell you all the important things you need to know to make your Fringe experience the absolute best!
Get COVID Safe Ready
Many venues will require proof of vaccination to gain entry. Visit the COVID Safe Fringe page for the latest information.
Find a show
You're doing Fringe right when you go on a Fringe Binge and see loads of Fringe shows!
Here's some tips to help you find shows:
- Download the FRINGE WORLD app for customised recommendations, maps, to buy tickets and more.
- Get to know our Hubs and Venues. Places like Girls School are great to soak up the atmosphere whilst you decide what show to see next.
- Get show recommendations from Fringefeed, the home of Fringe reviews and news (updated daily!). Fringefeed is also available on the app.
- During the Festival, grab a last-minute bargain with Rushtix.
What to bring with you
Visit the COVID Safe Fringe page to find out what you need to bring to gain entry to venues that are mandated for vaccination.
Many FRINGE WORLD venues are licensed and you may be asked for valid Photo ID to gain entry. In some instances, under 18's are welcome to licensed areas but must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian and the decision to allow entry is entirely at the discretion of the licensee. Each venue can have different licensing conditions so please check the venue license rules on our website before purchasing a ticket.
Most venues are cashless, so bring your credit/debit card.
Getting to and from your venue
The app map
The map in the FRINGE WORLD app will make getting to your venue a breeze. You can use the map to find parking nearby and a train station, if it's within 15mins walking distance. Neato!
Bus
GET TO GIRLS SCHOOL!
There are several ways you can get to Girls School but public transport is the easier way to get around.
You can jump on the Red or Yellow CAT bus following the general timetables. Alternatively, the 960 Bus towards Curtin University also goes directly up Wellington Street from Perth Busport to Girls School and departs frequently throughout the day. You will need to notify the bus driver that you are departing within the Free Transit Zone to ensure you do not have to pay for a ticket.
Please Note: The 960 route runs both ways between Curtin University and Mirrabooka. When getting onto this bus at Perth Busport, do double-check you are on the one which has Curtin University as its destination.
FRINGE WORLD CAT BUS
Thanks to Transperth, the FRINGE Cat is back and better than ever! This year’s service will be an extension of the existing Yellow CAT from Perth Busport to Girls School! This is a direct route meaning you will be enjoying the FRINGE fun in no time heading straight down Wellington Street. The FRINGE Cat will operate on a 15-minute frequency Sunday and Tuesday-Thursday until 11:30pm and Friday-Saturday until 1:00am. Please note Girls School is closed Monday’s so normal Transperth services will apply.
Arrive Early!
Don’t forget to arrive early for your show so you have time to relax with a pre-show drink or treat. Some shows don't permit late entry.
We now have e-ticketing and venues don’t require you to have a printed ticket to gain entry to the show. Simply show your order confirmation email or your e-ticket on the FRINGE WORLD app to gain entry.
A queue will form outside your venue before showtime and most shows have unallocated seating, so line up early to get your pick of the seats or join the Friends club to skip the line.
Please note that government-mandated contract tracing will be required at venues. Click here for more COVID-19 related information.
Accessibility information
FRINGE WORLD is dedicated to creating the best possible experience for all visitors to the Festival.
The information on this page is provided for customers with access requirements.
On-site assistance
We want FRINGE WORLD to be a safe and welcoming place for all.
If you need assistance at a FRINGE WORLD Managed Hub, find someone with a FRINGE WORLD t-shirt and they will help.
If it's a delicate matter, look out for team members with a ‘smiley face’ badge on their shirt. These awesome people have been hand-selected and trained to assist in delicate situations, and they also have a current Working With Children Check.
We also have the Ask For Freddie safety campaign, which is based on the internationally recognised safety campaign “Ask for Angela”. If you are feeling threatened at this venue, you can approach any bar staff, site security or any person with a FRINGE WORLD staff t-shirt and use the code work “Freddie” to let them know you need assistance.
Lost and Found Children Procedure
There is a comprehensive Lost and Found Children Procedure at FRINGE WORLD.
There are plans in place with staff and site managers at FRINGE WORLD Managed Hubs, Girls School and The Pleasure Garden.
